GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., November 25, 2019 – Lynn Afendoulis, candidate for Michigan’s Third Congressional District, today added the names of 18 legislators from the State of Michigan to her list of endorsements. This comes on the heels of a strong fundraising quarter in which Lynn had the most donors of any candidate. Also, it demonstrates the strength of her campaign and her strong position to win the primary.

“Working with Lynn Afendoulis this past year, I have come to know her as a strong conservative who advocates tirelessly for her constituents and the people of the state of Michigan,” said Rep. Pamela Hornberger, who represents Michigan’s 32nd district. “I have witnessed firsthand her strong conservative values as she fought to protect the unborn and have no doubt that when elected to Congress Lynn will stand up to those people working to erode our families and our borders.”

“I am humbled to endorse Lynn for Congress,” she added. “There is no better person to represent Michigan’s 3rd district in Congress.”

Added Rep. Jason Sheppard, 56th district representative: “In her first year in the House, Lynn has distinguished herself for her hard and thoughtful work on behalf of her constituents and the people of the State of Michigan. She took the reins of the important Tax Policy committee as its first-ever freshman chair and has done a remarkable job considering and passing important legislation. Lynn will be a hardworking advocate for her district in Congress, and I wholeheartedly endorse her.”

Afendoulis has called West Michigan home her entire life. She is a mom, businesswoman, and community leader who wants to expand her public service by giving Michigan’s Third District the representation it has been lacking. She is a first-term state legislator who serves on the Transportation, Health Policy, and Military, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security committees and is the first freshman ever to chair the important Tax Policy Committee.

“I am humbled and grateful to earn the support from these honorable and hardworking elected officials. They know my work ethic and my love of service, and they know that I will work for the people and with our president to get things done and to stand up to the destructive policies and beliefs of the likes of AOC, Adam Schiff, and Nancy Pelosi.”

The State of Michigan Legislators who have endorsed Afendoulis include:

Rep. Julie Alexander
Rep. Sue Allor
Rep. Joe Bellino
Rep. Triston Cole

About Lynn
Lynn is running for Congress because she believes we are fighting for the very fabric of who and what we are – the things that President Trump is fighting for and that attracted her grandparents to this country. She wants to protect the rule of law and represent the people of the 3rd District in a way that they’ve been yearning for – with integrity, engagement, and effectiveness. And to show her children that this is all worth fighting for.
