GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – Today, Lynn Afendoulis, candidate for Congress in Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District, announced her best quarter since launching her campaign in 2019, raising $190,000 in the first quarter of 2020. This amount included no money from the candidate and was driven by more 5,500 donations with an average gift of $34. Since the beginning of the campaign, Afendoulis has raised more than $460,000. This level of support puts her a strong position as the campaign heads into the summer months.
Afendoulis said, “I am extremely grateful for all those who helped our exciting grassroots campaign have our best quarter yet. I entered this race because I love West Michigan, which I’ve called home my entire life, and believe it deserves better. Our current Congressman, Justin Amash, continues to show that he puts himself over his constituents. West Michigan needs someone who will actively represent them and will work with President Trump to defend our borders, stand up to China, and protect the American Dream.”
Lynn is running for Congress because she believes we are fighting for the very fabric of who and what we are–the things that President Trump is fighting for and that attracted her grandparents to this country. She wants to protect the rule of law and represent the people of the 3rd District in a way that they’ve been yearning for – with integrity, engagement, and effectiveness. And to show her children that this is all worth fighting for.
