GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., – Lynn Afendoulis, candidate for Congress in MI-3, announced that she has signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge, committing to draining the swamp of career politicians. The document states, “I pledge that, as a member of the U.S. Congress, I will co-sponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms and no longer limit.”.
In the 116th Congress, there are 51 members of the House and 17 Senators that have signed the pledge.
“I am running because we are at a crossroads in our country. The extreme policies of the socialists in the Democrat party are threatening our West Michigan values. I am running not for a job; I’m running because I love this country. President Trump is trying to drain the swamp and ensuring that there are fewer career politicians in D.C. is one way to do that. I hope the other candidates in the primary join me in signing this pledge,” added Afendoulis,
U.S. Term Limits President Philip Blumel said: “Lynn’s support of term limits shows that there are individuals who are willing to put self-interest aside to follow the will of the people. America needs a Congress that will be served by citizen legislators, not career politicians.”
About US Term Limits
US Term Limits stands up against government malpractice. We are the voice of the American citizen. We want a government of the people, by the people, and for the people- not a ruling class who care more about deals to benefit themselves, than their constituents.
We have worked tirelessly with citizens all across the nation, helping them better understand why term limits are a necessary government reform, and how to implement that vision from your town council to Congress.

Lynn is running for Congress because she believes we are fighting for the very fabric of who and what we are–the things that President Trump is fighting for and that attracted her grandparents to this country. She wants to protect the rule of law and represent the people of the 3rd District in a way that they’ve been yearning for – with integrity, engagement, and effectiveness. And to show her children that this is all worth fighting for.
